About Me

Growing up, I realized my brain absorbed information differently and that I had an aptitude for visual learning. I remember being 9 years old and watching from my window as the middle school dance team practiced outside across the street. I remember studying their moves, finding the song they danced to and eventually learning their entire routine from my bedroom. This experience was ultimately the catalyst for my dance career, which I concluded as a D1 athlete at the University of North Texas (an accomplishment I never imagined reaching).

This experience is one occasion of many where I harnessed my ability to retain visual information and translated that into a lifelong passion of mine. Another prime and more prominent example is the molding of my respect, admiration and interest for the public relations profession. My mother is the vice president of marketing for a large property management company. Having watched her success closely my entire life, I’ve observed and taken note for nearly 15 years as she’s grown her marketing department into what it is today.

Watching my mother establish and evolve her marketing approaches is what inspired me to pursue public relations. The opportunities this profession can provide, not only for myself but also for the firms and companies I hope to one day represent, are endless. Public relations is the final piece that is missing for many organizations that have the potential to stand out, but fall just short of the mark. I hope to be that missing piece, and I thank public relations for allowing me the opportunity and guidance to do so.

“The highest levels of performance come to people who are centered, intuitive, creative, and reflective - people who know to see a problem as an opportunity.”
